The Wholesale Market in Israel Reaches the Telecommunications Sector

While the telecommunications market in Israel has been officially opened to competition, the once mighty monopolistic phone company is still trying to minimize its competition.

It is resisting calls to enter the wholesale market, as requested by Moshe Kahlon, the Communications Minister, who will split Bezeq into services and infrastructure companies if the company does not implement government market rulings.

If market reforms are implemented, the Israeli economy would benefit from foreign investment, which in turn can provide municipal economies from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, and from Haifa to Eilat, with further financial benefits.

Sincerely,
